10 Myths About Flow Music "METAL" misguided

So many misconceptions about the views and perceptions of the metal flow, and with it is a sufficient reason to make more people know about how they misjudged on metal flow.
And here are 10 myths about "Metal" and the actual truth there, please note that this is not my personal opinion.

10. Heavy Metal
Myth: The music is called "Heavy Metal"
We start with the easiest and popular. Most people assume that the name of the music that is heard with loud screams and heavily distorted guitar is "Heavy Metal".
In fact, Flow Metal has hundreds of subgenres and "Heavy Metal" even almost not one of these sub-streams. Bands like Cream, Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath paved the way for metal bands to create a unique sound. But while these bands can be called a homage to Heavy Metal, the majority regard as non-metalheads, especially old people and young girls, referring to all the Heavy Metal rock music. Just because they do not recognize the diversity in the music genre.

9. Flow of Bar Bar
Myth: Metal musicians are uneducated freaks who can not construct a sentence
It is a common perception that Other. Most people look at the lyrics and metal music is simple and stupid impressed.
In fact, musicians including musicians Metal is a very smart, very focused person who is able to write lyrics with deep meaning and music. For example, Bathory black metal bands from much of their music from classical composers. And most metal lyrics are surprisingly literate.

8. Flow Anti-Religion
Myth: All Metal Flow Anti-Religion
In the opinion of the majority of non-metalhead, bands - metal band considers worthy hated religion (antipathy to religion) but that was not the case with the metal flow.
In most cases, metal is not anti-religion in general, but often against Christianity or the Christian form (example: band Dimmu Borgir, Kataklysm).
However, many religious metal artist, like the American metalcore band As I Lay Dying, David Dramian of Disturbed, Indonesian Grindcore band "Skull", Nu Metal Indonesian band "Purgatory", and many more.

7. Devotees of Satan
Myth: Metal promotes Satanism
The genre of music that has a lot of themes and image features demon called Black Metal, which comes from Venom's thrash album; Black Metal.
Although some of death metal and thrash metal, like Slayer, Cannibal Corpse and Morbid Angel use a feature of Satanism, but very few black metal musicians really have confidence devil, and the people who tend to try not to promote it.

6. Identical to the Criminal
Myth: Metal promotes criminal activity, such as murder
While some people in the metal community has been arrested for the crime and murder, only one case of dominant, Varg Vikernes case. Most metal bands that have lyrics of violent or disturbing images have revealed that their content is not to be taken seriously. Cannibal Corpse especially, are famous for their lyrics, which often outlines the more egregious depictions of murder, death and sexual fetishism.

5. Flow Sexism
Myth: Metal is sexist
Although it seems that a lot of metal, especially in the 80's, designed to belittle sex and women, now that problem has been substantially reduced. And a lot of bands, especially in the genre of Black, Doom Metal Grind and completely avoid the topic of sex.

4. Fascist
Myth: Metal musicians most fascist, racist or neo-Nazi views have
Currently a lot of musicians who say they believe in a particular racial or ethnic group is better or worse than others, and while some of them have a legitimate belief, it is the most common as part of the performance on stage.
A good example of this is former Gorgoroth vocalist Gaahl, who is not only gay, but also stated to have racist views, but he is not serious about these things and try not to express openly.

3. Influence Bad For Kids
Myth: Metal music is bad for children
Many metal music oriented towards children and adolescents as a relaxing way to cope with stress rather than using other means available.
Although people may tell you that the metal poison the minds of our children, keep in mind that people are generally very closed-minded and do not understand fully about Metal.

2. Musicians Not talented
Myth: Metal does not need music to play Skill
Any professional will tell you that metal and jazz are two of the most difficult genre of music to be played.
And while the sounds of thrash metal musicians just hide behind distortion, fast riffs and extreme percussion are almost always 100% original, without the use of synthesized musical effects.
But there is also a subgenre of music that tend to edit their digital music like metalcore, industrial and grind. And the other is almost entirely pure.

1. Just Can Shouts
Myth: metal musician just screaming vocals
If you like metal, you've probably heard someone say, "Well, he biskah not sing properly?" It really annoys metalheads because reality becomes very difficult metal vocalist.
And although it seems like an easy, Metal vocals are very diverse, from the growling, yelling, screaming, yelling and everything in between. The next time someone says it's not a metal singer to sing, you could be a simple answer, "the singer just look different".

SlipKnoT BioGraphY

Born of the near-desolation of Iowa, Slipknot burst forth from the heartland in 1999 with some of the most awe-inspiring, cathartic rock the world had ever heard. Vetting their collective psyche not only through their songs, but also through their masks, their uniforms, their live shows, and even their fans and the culture they inhabit, Slipknot hold nothing back. The depth of their expression is matched by that of their musical prowess---this tornado is laser-guided, and fellow musicians, critics, and fans know that Slipknot are deadly serious about their art. Thus, after two platinum albums, two platinum home videos, and cover stories in Rolling Stone, Alternative Press, and Revolver, to name a few, we come to Slipknot's ultimate expression: Vol. 3 (The Subliminal Verses).
Within the confines, or lack thereof, of Vol. 3 (The Subliminal Verses) lies a new level of musicianship, achieved through the hard work poured into supporting their self-titled debut and their subsequent hit album, Iowa. Produced by Rick Rubin, Vol. 3 not only captures the band's strengths to this point--it sees the spore that is Slipknot exploding in all directions. The songs on this daring effort transcend traditional hard music structure, and will surprise the uninitiated with their dynamic appeal. Masterful guitar work, visceral drum beats, and a newly expanded vocal range are highlights of this work that Corey Taylor (#8) calls "both brutal and beautiful." Much of the creative inspiration in evidence on the new album is owed to Rubin and his reputedly haunted mansion, in which the band lived while recording Vol. 3. "You can really feel [the effect of the mansion] on the album. There were ghosts in the machine, in the equipment. Things would freeze, things would loop for no reason at all. It was strange," adds Taylor. Paul Gray (#2) comments on what Rubin brought to the table. "Rick brought a huge amount of openmindedness--normally nine different people trying different things can be tough. Rick got us to just throw all our preconceived notions out the window. He was able to integrate bits and pieces of everyone's ideas."
The first single off Vol. 3 (The Subliminal Verses), "Dualitym" is "lyrically, what you might think...we've been through a lot as a band and the lyrics really reflect our maintaining faith and the perseverance of all nine of us," says Joey Jordison (#1). "Duality" represents the album well in its unwillingness to compromise the band's rock foundation and its ability to be aurally appealing and melodic at the same time. Other songs of note on the record, "Before I Forget" and "Vermillion," underline the statement made by "Duality," with their dark melodies and fierce instrumentation. "'Before I Forget' is about rising above the bullsh-t and being a person, not a human. It's about saying what you mean and meaning what you say--taking zero bullsh-t," adds Taylor, "and 'Vermillion' is a stalker's love song, shot thru his eyes. It's kind of a does-he-or-doesn't-he type thing; it's left open for you to decide."
Many profess to know numbers 0 - 8 through the aforementioned cover stories and other worldwide press. But those who truly know this Des Moines mob know them through their jaw-dropping live sets. Called the "Best Live band" in a recent Revolver magazine readers' poll, Slipknot are one of the few bands working today whose live show transcends the medium--a Slipknot show is an event unto itself. The band are currently headlining the Jagermeister Music Tour in the U.S., to be followed by a European tour as direct support for Metallica, then headlining the side-stage at Ozzfest this summer. Of this second-stage headline, Gray says "It's hard to feel the vibe when your crowd is 200 feet away. This was our chance to get back to connecting with our fans, and we're loving it." Past tours include Ozzfest 1999, Tattoo The Earth, and Pledge of Allegiance.
This go-'round, the band's look has evolved with their music. New, streamlined masks are a reflection of the changes in who the band members are, as people. Taylor adds "The mask thing started out because we wanted to show another side of ourselves through them. We have grown and changed, and so have the masks." About that growing and changing, Jordison says, "A lot of people won't ever understand why we do what we do, and the band thrives on that. The record itself represents that feeling of gratitude toward the people that refuse to let us die--the fans themselves. The time away only made us a stronger band, and the other projects absoluteley had nothing to do with the way this record was made. When all nine of us combine, we only know one sound, and that is the sound of Slipknot."

The natural order dictates growth and change as constants. Vol. 3 (The Subliminal Verses) catches one of the most relevant and daring bands in the rock music realm, turning adversity into strength and honing their craft to precision.
